▶ Design Concept

The architectural form of Upper House draws inspiration from the Moreton Bay Fig, with ‘architectural roots’ taking us on a journey from our ancient past at its base, up to the future of vertical living. Topped with biodiverse outdoor areas, wellbeing retreat and social hub, Upper House addresses what is referred to as connection deficit.

The architecture celebrates Brisbane’s natural beauty and laidback urban lifestyle, punctuating the city skyline with a natural timber pergola and tropical rooftop oasis. A five-storey indigenous artwork at the building’s podium reflects our unique history.

The interiors emanate warmth with exposed timber cladding, natural materials, and meticulous craftsmanship, creating a laid-back essence of luxury. The natural textures of the wood complement the soft, earthy tones throughout the space, fostering an inviting atmosphere that feels both rustic and refined. Every detail, from the hand-finished surfaces to the carefully selected furniture, enhances the sense of comfort and elegance, making the space not only a retreat but also an embodiment of understated sophistication.

Sliding Doors in Modern Architecture

Sliding doors are ideal for high-rise residential and commercial buildings, offering design flexibility and high performance.

• High-Performance Glass：With Low E glass, U-value is under 1.0 W/m²·K, reducing heat loss and improving energy efficiency. It also reduces 35-45 decibels of noise for a quieter environment.

• Threshold-Free Design：The threshold-free design provides seamless transitions, with panels up to 3000mm high and 2500mm wide, ensuring smooth operation and optimizing space.

• Durability：Made with aluminum frames and tempered glass, sliding doors withstand winds up to 240km/h and offer long-term stability.

• Customizable：Fully customizable, sliding doors fit various architectural styles with options for frame colors and glass types.

Railing

The railings on each floor are provided by us, featuring the highly stable BALUSTRADE RAILING SYSTEM, ensuring safety and stability for the high-rise structure. This railing system not only offers exceptional structural performance but also integrates modern design aesthetics, enhancing the building's visual appeal while meeting strict safety standards. Our BALUSTRADE RAILING SYSTEM excels in durability, wind resistance, and corrosion resistance, making it ideal for high-rise buildings and extreme weather conditions, ensuring long-term reliability and performance.

The top two levels, spanning over 2,000m², feature world-class amenities designed to foster community and enhance wellbeing. These include an infinity pool, spa, saunas, fitness club, yoga studio, boardroom, lounge bar, cinema, all set within tropical landscaping.

Rainwater collection in a 40kL rainwater tank is used to irrigate the extensive landscaping. 4,024 plants were included on the rooftop and podium, which offer insulation and shading to protect against heat gain in the subtropical Brisbane, Australian climate.
